Football at Mamaks !

I can't believe myself for being such a sport. I actually looked forward to watching the World Cup at the Mamaks. Hubs said it's alright if I don't go, he'll go alone. I asked him to bring Amber along and then he pleaded with me to go along *snigger*.. hehehee..

It's fun aitelyu, the whole place vibrates to shouts of GO GO GO GO GOOOOAALLLLL !!!!!!!! and you can hear the tempo change when the goal was not.

On Friday night, watching Brazil lose to Holland :

The guy in green shirt,, a Holland supported,, jumped with joy with the first score of goal and then later the frustrated Brazilian fans seated at the back, shouts loud in disappointment, I can see the guy in green quiet down during Holland's second goal. Such is the football frenzy at mamaks !

The kids went along.. not recommended to bring kids, they're easily and extremely bored with nothing to do..and they'll start jumping around, running around.. and we have to chase them around the Mamaks, being mindful not to block anyone's view.

And to keep them quiet, I got them lollypops, but this trick only last no more than 5 minutes, then Amber will start rolling lollypop over Sharon's hair and sticking the lollies on her own hair.. haish... Amber !

Too bad all hubs favourite team is out of the game. That makes the final not-so exciting anymore, we're almost sure Germany will win the World Cup this time !

On a Sunny Sunday Morning

Today, we've been good, woke up early and hubs suddenly decides to bring Amber to the park. Unlike me, he's impromptu, wanna go means wanna go but me, I like to plan things. Wanna go to the park ? Wake up early, plan breakfast, plan laundry, plan this and that.. then park but today, the heck with the plan, I'll just tag along. It was already past 9am when he suddenly had the calling to go to the park. I made him skip breakfast and go to the park first, otherwise I'd rather stay home. Morning sun is not my friend !

Although sunny, we're lucky as it was also breezy.. some pics of Amber and us to remember our day by.

Miss Fashionista insist on her sunnies

angkat kaki

PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!!!!!!

ahh.. this exercise, I joked to hubs.. was more like practising the catwalk.

BRING ME DOWN !!!

I did some brisk walking around the lake.. see the Sewing Monster's gunny bag ? Practically my weekend bag :D.

I like this picture.. the clear blue skies and reflection on the lake

Amidst the greens and lake, KLCC peek a boos from behind some bungalows nearby.

So, what did we do after the park ? Fast fast.. to Imbi market for double breakfast... opps ... I mean 'brunch' .

Petrosains KLCC

2 Sundays ago, we wanted to bring Amber to the park at KLCC but by the time we got there, it looked kinda sunny already and I suggested they go Petrosains instead. Having visited KLCC so many times but we never thought of bringing Amber there.

Hubs volunteered go Petrosains with Amber and I need not follow. Oh.. I can't tell you how happy I was.. jalan jalan around KLCC, on my own.

Patrons are recommended to allocate at least 2 hours in Petrosains but hubs and her stayed on for 4 hours!!! They came out at 3.30pm, way past lunch time. Hubs said so much to see and do ! Hearing how interesting and exciting it was, I am tempted to join them next visit.

Hubs took some pics

Tickets. RM12 for adults. Children 4 and below is FREE. Must make more visit this year before she turns 5.. :D

Amber, with her stuck up look and Einstein

Supposedly 3D, the car is visible but you cannot actually touch or feel it.
some image on the floor thingy and dancing to it.
@3D movie theatre. They watched a cartoon flick and hubs forgot the title.. haih...

The Petrosains is really huge and the entrance is really deceiving and there's chockfull of events there, check out their website for list of events and I'd think it's darn worth it for RM12 entry fee. Hubs and her went for the dinosaur exhibition and helicopter simulation.
It was a great Sunday for all of us. Hubs and her get to have some fun at Petrosains and me, I had a whole 4 hours of uninterrupted shopping !!
So, ladies, if you wanna go Isetan Sale next time, you know where to send your hubs and kids.. :D

What's Happening in the Garden ?

A burnt leaf :

I heard Amber shouting : Mama ! Come and see ! Come and see !

I saw the 'big kid' and the little kid squatting on the grass and hubs asked me to grab a camera. Father and daughter, doing this :

Starting a fire, burning a leaf with a magnifying glass.
Amber learned new words 'magnifying ( a mouthful for her ) , and 'focus'
She's very excited, like any kid.
Father and daughter, so alike, one a kid at heart and the other, a kid at play.
Then I took opportunity to snap some nice kaffir limes fruiting at my garden. I bought this plant a year ago, hubs didn't believe they'll fruit. With consistent watering, fertilizer and the best spot in the garden, I have about 20 limes fruiting.

some in clusters..

some alone..
Nice ? I love it's fragrance..
Time to cook some tomyam soon !

School Excursion

Amber went on her first class excursion last week to Planetarium and DeerPark. A milestone for my little girl. Parents are invited too and I quickly booked a place. I wouldn't want to miss the opportunity of going on a trip with her school. Feels like being a kid all over again, excited on getting up a big long school bus, watching video in the bus anticipating the trip ahead.

Rollcall. All participating parents and children queuing up at 8.30am.

Then the first bus arrives. Kids scream with glee.. big schoolbus.. big schoolbus

Within 20 minutes, we arrive at our destination.

Planeterium Negara

Before we went in, we took a group photo. Major chaos.. getting the kids to line up in rows and obey. I've blurred the photo but just to show how big the group is... all in all, teachers, assistants, parents and kids, we have about 100pax

The Planetarium is quite small and that's good when you have such a big crowd, easier to control and do roll calls. Amber was having her own fun and not sticking to me at all but I kept an eye on her. Parents who join the event have to mind their own kids.

Spacecraft control panel ? Not too sure myself :(

Our Angkasawan

Kids were treated to a 3 dimensional movie in this theater with 3D effects (fisheye view kinda screen). We watched "Fly Me To The Moon' .. a short 15-20 minute clip on some insects who found their way up a spacecraft and tumpang the astonauts ride up up the moon.
Few kids cried, too overwhelming too see something up so close. Amber was also scared and sticked very very close to me.

Then we left for the Deer Park, all within the vicinity of Taman Tasik Perdana. A quick stopver just to feed the deers.

Hello ... ... I am a one horn deer !

All deers are chip tagged.

More deers

You can see here.. the farm is not very well maintained.. Barely any information boards to explain about deers, their habitats, diet, etc.

Then we took a tram ride going round and round the Lake Gardens.

Amber caused much embarrassment when she shouted "Why so hot ? Why no air-cond wan ???" LOL !

As part of the excursion package, we were all treated to lunch at McDonalds :

Finally, AIR-COND !!! .... .... .... and tomato ketchup !

Parents had this :

It was really a fun experience for her and mummy as well, esp getting to know her teacher and principal better and exchanging motherhood experiences with other moms. One thing for sure, seeing how much hassle the teachers had to work on to make the trip a success, I will never want to be a kindie teacher .. .. .. LOL !!!!
